Serve as the technical expert in advanced inspection plans, GD&T interpretation, and measurement methodologies. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve shop floor issues and meet customer requirements. Lead and support standardization, best practices, and lean improvements in measurement and programming. Diagnose and resolve equipment, programming, and measurement discrepancies, contributing to fixture and work-holding design. Participate in measurement planning and First Article Inspections (AS9102) for new product development. Train and mentor staff on CMM operations, programming, and advanced inspection techniques. Represent the department during audits and ensure compliance with company protocols and procedures. Required Experience: Associate's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a closely related technical field preferred, or a comparable mix of education and relevant experience. Over ten years of proven hands-on experience programming and inspecting with CMM technology in a manufacturing setting. Advanced proficiency with Zeiss Calypso software for CMM operation (essential qualification). Competency using various CAD platforms (such as Camworks, Mastercam, or similar). Strong background in interpreting blueprints and GD&T, aligned with ASME Y14.5 standards. Skilled in using high-precision measurement devicesmicrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and height tools. Familiarity with designing fixtures, tooling, and effective part-holding methods, as well as inspection preparations. Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication skillsoral and written Experienced in coaching and developing others. Authorized to manage regulated materials and information in compliance with ITAR rules.
