CNC Milling Machinist

As a CNC Milling Machinist, you will be responsible for independently transforming parts from print to finished product. You will receive a drawing, set up your own vices, select appropriate tooling and materials, and download the correct program to execute the part. Parts will range in size from 2 inches to 24 inches and primarily consist of stainless steel. Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Collaborate directly with engineering to enhance machining processes. Perform full machine setups, including changing jaws, touching off tools, and building off tools. Troubleshoot machines, making necessary adjustments and offsets if parts are not correctly produced. Operate CMX 1100s with tolerance requirements of .0005. Conduct first-piece inspections using CMM machines and gauging tools such as air gauges, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Essential Skills: Minimum of 2 years of CNC Milling experience. Experience with vertical mills and machine setup. Proficiency in reading blueprints and changing tooling. Experience with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of CNC Vertical milling experience in an Aerospace setting with setups on CMX 1100s is preferred. Experience with Mastercam software for program edits is a plus. Familiarity with brands such as HAAS, Mazak, and the person. Why Work Here? The facility primarily works with stainless steel, mild steel, and carbon steel. Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Addison, IL.
