Commercial Banker – Emerging Middle Market Banking – Vice President

Base pay range: $147,250.00/yr – $205,000.00/yr

Job Description

As a Commercial Banker in Emerging Middle Market Banking, you will serve as the focal point for client acquisition and ongoing relationships. You will work independently and collaboratively to introduce our comprehensive solutions to clients, growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Emerging Middle Market target space (companies with annual revenues of $20 million to $100 million).

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.
  • Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing new technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Five or more years of lending or credit support experience focused on business relationships.
  • Understanding of commercial banking products and services.
  • Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, with proven client relationship skills and ability to engage CEOs and CFOs.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, establishing credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners.
  • Deep local connections and market knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred.
  • Sales management and business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Strong creative solution, problem‑solving abilities, flexibility to changing business priorities, and multitasking skill.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self‑directed, proactive, and creative.
