Civil Litigation Paralegal (5+ yrs exp min)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join
our legal team and handle multiple cases involving insurance coverage and
litigation matters. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will provide essential support to
our attorneys in all stages of the litigation process. This is an excellent opportunity
for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field.
*Responsibilities:*
Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions,
and discovery requests/responses
Manage case files and maintain organized electronic and physical document
repositories
Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and
trial binders
Review and analyze discovery responses, document productions, and other
relevant documents and prepare summaries of same
Organize and maintain electronic case files within the Firm’s software/case
management system
Involvement with medical record collection, medical record and billing
summaries, and medical chronologies
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on case-specific issues
Provide administrative support as needed
*Requirements:*
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
Minimum of 5+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, the area of insurance defense
Strong understanding of California civil procedure and litigation practices
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team
environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Professional and courteous to clients and staff
Demonstrate good ethics, judgment and maintain the confidentiality of files
Ability to work in a fast -paced environment, handle multiple assignments,
and work well under pressure
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
