3D Exhibit Designer – Join our fast-paced, high-energy team specializing in custom trade show exhibits, branded environments, live event displays, and dealer events. Location: On-site, Southgate, MI (Monday–Friday) Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities Design and assist in the fabrication of static and interactive displays. Ensure designs meet transportation requirements and allow for quick assembly and dismantling. Collaborate with creative teams to develop visuals that are on-brand, on-trend, and visually compelling. Quickly draft and revise 2D floorplans. Create design documents that clearly communicate creative intent through concept, schematic, and detailed phases. Support CNC technicians by preparing and setting up files. Operate the CNC router using Enroute software to cut various materials when needed. Ensure exhibits are innovative, durable, low-maintenance, and visually striking. Offer creative concepts for exhibit elements based on research and technical expertise. Oversee temporary design and engineering staff when necessary. Manage multiple projects and maintain communication with the VP of Exhibits and Exhibit Production Manager. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Arts, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Experience with visualization/rendering plugins (particularly Chaos V-Ray), preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing tools in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks. Strong ability to create and communicate exhibit concept drawings. Proficient in CAD software for technical drawing. Experience with AutoCAD, Fusion 360, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of fabrication materials and processes including wood, metal, and plastic, plus finishing techniques. Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and projects. Technical understanding of exhibit construction materials, equipment, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a strong work ethic. Capable of tailoring designs to fit budgetary and scheduling requirements. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
