Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

Responsible for arranging and maintaining attractive visual presentation in window displays, mannequins, shelves, and fashion panels throughout the store. May follow a floor plan to re-merchandise an area in preparation for special events or season changes.

Examples of Duties includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Ensure all merchandise is folded according to Company standards and has size and price tickets.
  • Maintain window displays and mannequin presentation.
  • Ensure that all product is off the floor and hung up, and each bar is organized by merchandise style.
  • Develop ideas or plans for merchandise displays and windows.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Accessorize mannequins and displays.
  • Plan displays to entice and appeal to guests.
  • Change and rotate face outs and ensure displays are properly merchandised per Company guidelines.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

  • Must possess vision and creativity.

  • Basic knowledge of art, design, fashion, and interior design.

  • Familiarity with retail operations concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Must possess excellent organization skills on sales floor and back rooms.

  • A self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.

  • Ability to work independent and perform basic/intermediate math skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.

  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency.

  • High school education or equivalent. College degree and/or additional training in Art or Merchandising is preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year previous merchandising experience preferred. Portfolio of work samples must be provided.
