Home Study/Assessment Writer – Endeavors
This is a 1099 contracted position, similar to a part‑time role. Pay range is $300–$400 per study. Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish fluency) are encouraged to apply.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a subcontractor to complete Kinship Home Assessments for children under the Department of Family and Protective Services. A BA or BS in Social Sciences (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology) is preferred, but candidates with any college degree and strong writing skills will also be considered.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Complete orientation training and become familiar with DFPS and contractor forms, templates, procedures, and guidelines.
Prepare for assessments by reviewing the DFPS referral packet and discussing focus areas with the Child Placing Manager (CPM).
Complete kinship assessment assignments.
Schedule and conduct interviews with all family members.
Write comprehensive assessments in the approved format and style.
Submit assessment drafts to CPM for review by the due date; correct, edit, and resubmit within 24 hours of receiving feedback.
Maintain ongoing communication with CPM regarding interview progress, concerns, and assessment status.
Submit accurate invoices for completed assessments promptly.
Receive payment per assessment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: No prior assessment writing experience is required, but it is preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the employer.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Vehicle: Must have daily access to a vehicle.
Other: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate.
