Salary Range: $12.00

Summary: The Server provides ultimate hospitality for guests in a casino environment and Cantina outlet. Server is responsible for providing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service to guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission statement along with the policies and procedures for Beverage department.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
  • Answers bar and Cantina menu questions posed by guests.
  • Maintains knowledge of the bar and dining menu and any special items being offered.
  • Observes guests, anticipates needs and completes all steps of service as assigned.
  • Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to casino guests while communicating in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest concerns and questions.
  • Practices responsible alcohol service to prevent and recognize potential alcohol related concerns.
  • Alerts management to any issues and problems
  • Accurately records all sales in the POS system.
  • Ensures food and bar items are picked up and served immediately upon availability from the Cantina, bar, or other, as ordered by the guest.
  • Ensures the quality and presentation meets or exceeds the expectations of the guest.
  • Stocks beverage station(s) (ice, juices, glassware/plastic, sugar packets, etc.) based on anticipated need guest or venue.
  • Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for food and beverage service.
  • Maintains a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
  • Builds and maintains knowledge of food and beverage offerings to ensure all questions answered appropriate and accurately.
  • Maintains excellent attendance; available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
  • Completes all other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintains a clean and stocked beverage station and completes all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply level.
  • Stocks beverage station(s) (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc.) based on anticipated need guest or venue.
  • Completes all other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for beverage service.
  • Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
  • Picks up all Bar glassware/plastic throughout Casino, Bar and Cantina areas and returns glassware for washing.
  • Abiding by all Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4, and Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol Beverage Ordinance.
  • Abiding by Guest Service Agreement for BlueWater Resort & Casino.
  • Abiding by F & B department policies and procedures.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
  • Ability to operate the following equipment, POS system, soda guns, cutting boards, knives, pourers, coffee machines and other necessary equipment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate read and write in English.

Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume fine dining, casual, and/or nightclub is preferred. Wine and alcohol knowledge preferred. Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service or cocktail service Job Experience. Must acquire and maintain a valid C.R.I.T Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Suspicious Activity and other required compliance trainings. Must be 21 and have a valid Drivers License. All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the CRIT Tribal Gaming Agency prior to beginning work and are required to have license renewed annually. Must be able to adhere to all BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines in regards to the wearing of PPE (including but not limited to a mask and gloves). Must attend in-house comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting training on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Uniforms will be specific to each outlet. All hair must be completely contained within the approved health standards. All hairstyles, body art and piercings must adhere to company policy to meet the needs of the health code and professional standards.
