Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a major data migration effort and help establish a robust, scalable data environment for future organizational needs. The primary focus of this roleespecially in the early monthswill be migrating data from a previous Snowflake environment into a new platform before April. This includes rebuilding data structures, re-establishing system connections, and developing new ETL pipelines. Beyond the migration, this role will contribute to ongoing data engineering initiatives, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute data migration activities into the new environment.
  • Recreate and validate data connections across systems.
  • Rebuild tables and data structures to support business and analytical needs.
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with business requirements.
  • Support long-term data engineering and infrastructure initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 710+ years of experience in a data engineering or related technical role.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins and daily hands-on query development.
  • Strong Python scripting experience.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools (e.g., Apache tools, PySpark, AWS Glue; specific tools not required).
  • Experience with data warehousing and data lake environments.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or similar technologies.
  • Experience using GitHub or GitLab for project management and version control.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools and concepts.
