Sales Planner Salary: $65,000-$70,000 (Depending on experience level) Location: NYC - *1 day a week on-site (Tuesdays)*

strategic and agile Sales Planner
to support a high-performing digital media Sales Planning team. This role is responsible for developing compelling media plans, proposals, and pricing strategies across both brand awareness and performance-driven campaigns. The ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, and has a strong understanding of
digital media buying , particularly within
DSP-based environments . This position collaborates closely with Sales, Client Services, Ad Operations, and Audience/Data Solutions teams to activate digital-first, omnichannel campaigns. The Sales Planner also plays a key role in optimizing inventory usage, aligning audience targeting strategies, and ensuring proposals meet both client goals and internal margin requirements. Key Responsibilities
Develop
customized, strategic omnichannel media plans
(CTV/OTT, OLV, Display, Audio, Native, etc.) in partnership with internal Sales teams.
Own and manage the
pre-sales workflow
from intake to proposal, ensuring alignment with client KPIs, platform capabilities, and pricing guidelines.
Act as a subject matter expert on
DSP product capabilities , including behavioral, geo, demographic, and 1st/3rd party audience segmentation.
Recommend media strategies based on
reach goals, historical performance , pacing benchmarks, and available inventory.
Maintain fluency in both
performance-based and impression-based planning models
to support various campaign objectives.
Collaborate with Ad Operations and Planning Leadership on
inventory forecasting and budget allocation strategies .
Ensure all media plans include
accurate pricing, delivery forecasts , and applicable data fees when audience targeting is applied.
Translate client RFPs into
targeted, data-driven media strategies , proactively offering enhancements based on platform insights.
Identify inefficiencies in planning tools or workflows and support
continuous improvement initiatives .
Assist in
user testing, platform updates , and internal training efforts related to new planning technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Media, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in
pre-sales planning, digital media, DSP buying , or account management (experience with linear/digital video a plus).
Deep understanding of
DSP/SSP ecosystems , audience targeting strategies, and
omnichannel media buying models .
Proficient in
media planning tools , inventory forecasting methods, and proposal generation software.
Advanced skills in
Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce ; experience with
CRM-integrated planning platforms
preferred.
Strong communication, time management, and
stakeholder collaboration
skills.
Ability to thrive in
fast-paced, evolving digital environments .
Knowledge of
local or regional media planning
is a plus.
