
Overview
Store Protection Specialist at Ross Stores, Inc. This position provides a visible presence at store entrances/exits, mitigates theft and fraud, and maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers. The Specialist engages with Customers in a courteous manner and supports Loss Prevention directives to minimize operational shortage. Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and addressing safety issues Provide visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor Greet Customers and monitor for potential theft indicators while wearing required attire Assist Store Leadership in complying with Loss Prevention directives and minimizing shortages Walk the sales floor to identify and address potential theft indicators as directed Collaborate with internal and external partners, participate in district meetings, and contribute to recognition efforts Adhere to Company policies for external theft response and best practices to maximize productivity Qualifications And Special Skills
High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred One year loss prevention/security training preferred Active Security Guard License preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and relationship-building skills Proven ability to resolve conflicts and provide excellent customer service Ability to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening and other checks as required Physical Requirements
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time Ability to lift, move, or carry objects more than 25 lbs Ability to bend, stoop, or crouch as daily business requires Disclaimers
