Overview The Nogales International in Nogales, Arizona, is looking for a full‑time experienced bilingual reporter to continue our century of award‑winning reporting along the U.S.–Mexico border. The role focuses on local news, city & county coverage, public safety, and international border stories when warranted. The reporter will write people‑centered features, contribute to social media and newsletters, and capture photos and video. Work may include coverage across the border in our sister city of Nogales, Sonora. Responsibilities Report and write stories on city, county, and public safety Cover international news on the border as warranted Create people-centered feature articles Contribute to social media and newsletters Photograph and record video for stories Work across the border in Nogales, Sonora as needed Qualifications Fluent Spanish speaker (written and spoken) At least two (2) years of journalism experience, or strong recent college graduate with a passion for border community storytelling Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle Excellent communication skills Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends Benefits Health, vision, and dental insurance 401(k) plan Paid time off Compensation Salary range $17‑19 per hour, depending on experience. Location Primary office in Nogales, AZ; occasional work from Green Valley News/Sahuarita Sun office, 30 minutes north.
