The Creative & Digital Marketing Director at FinWise Bank is responsible for executing the company's overall
digital marketing strategy, brand identity, and creative direction . The role combines creative strategy, storytelling, and hands-on content execution across digital channels, podcasts, newsletters, and campaigns to optimize online performance and drive business support and growth. The Director ensures all visual and written content aligns with brand standards and strategic goals, collaborating with teams across the bank, including the fintech group, investor relations, retail bank, as well as other bank departments. Previous experience in banking, fintech, cards and payments markets is a plus. Responsibilities Lead planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns (web, email, social, paid media, SEM). Support fintech outreach through creative storytelling — podcasts, LinkedIn newsletters, blogs, and multimedia content. Experience on podcast platforms, e.g., Riverside, Podbean. Coordinate creative materials for events, sponsorships, and industry outreach (e.g., Money20/20, podcast promotions). Manage vendor or agency relationships when needed for specialized projects. Website & SEO Oversight
Oversee and maintain public websites to ensure they remain accurate, compliant, user-friendly, and aligned with brand voice. Robust experience managing websites on WordPress. Partner with development and compliance teams to implement design and content updates. Maintain general SEO hygiene (keywords, tagging, accessibility) to support visibility.
Content Development & Creative Direction
Develop engaging assets including infographics, video clips, podcasts, presentations, and thought leadership materials. Create digital collateral, layout, and copywriting for digital and print campaigns. Translate complex fintech topics into compelling, audience-appropriate storytelling. Ensure visual and message consistency across all materials and channels. Advanced knowledge in PowerPoint for professional external-facing presentations.
Brand & Messaging Strategy
Steward the FinWise brand identity across all internal and external marketing. Collaborate with leadership on evolving brand strategy and new creative campaigns. Support executive communication initiatives through presentations, reports, and branded collateral.
Track performance of campaigns, email engagement, website traffic, and social reach. Present data-driven insights and recommendations for future campaignsli> Establish benchmarks for creative performance (downloads, views, engagement). Work closely with fintech, investor relations, and retail teams to support cross-functional campaigns. Serve as an internal creative consultant—guiding layout, tone, and channel usage. Oversee freelance or agency contributors where needed. Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills Exceptional writing and storytelling ability; proven record of turning technical topics into engaging content. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and content platforms (e.g., WordPress, Mailchimp, LinkedIn publishing tools). Experience managing podcasts or multimedia production preferred. (e.g., Riverside, Podbean) Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to work both strategically and tactically—seeing creative ideas through to final execution. Technical Skills:
Knowledge of SEO, SEM, PPC, and social media advertising. Working knowledge of ad serving tools. Proficiency with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEM Rush, Adobe Analytics). Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress Proficiency with graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is preferred.
Required Education / Experience / License
: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may substitute for a degree. Preferred Education /Experience / License: 5+ years of experience in creative or digital marketing, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments. Demonstrated success producing or managing content across multiple formats (written, audio, visual). Experience supporting executive or brand-level campaigns. Sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time and look at a computer screen for several hours a day. Communicate with others in person, on the phone, virtual meeting and email. Maintain confidentiality. Lift 20 lbs. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work overtime as needed. Travel overnight as required. Work cooperatively with others. Driving during the workday.
