Senior Audit Accountant / Supervisor
We continue to experience growth in all areas of our practice and as a result we are seeking to hire a Senior Auditor/Supervisor to join the firm supporting our commercial audit practice. Responsibilities
Serve as senior/supervisor on audit engagements for commercial financial statement audits and employee benefit plan audits, including reviewing work papers, ensuring compliance with firm standards, and preparing audit documentation.
Evaluate all technical steps and review work papers with Manager or Partner to ensure accuracy.
Prepare financial statements, notes, schedules, and management letters as needed.
Communicate test conclusions that affect the audit plan, and inform the Engagement Manager/Partner of any audit or accounting difficulties that could impact deadlines.
Review and evaluate internal controls, prepare audit programs and time budgets.
Maintain strong relationships with client personnel and team members, demonstrating awareness of the client’s business.
Provide on‑the‑job training for Accountants and Interns and conduct timely performance appraisals.
Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (150 credit hours) or CPA‑eligible. Senior Accountants typically have a minimum of 3 years of audit experience in public accounting; Supervisors normally have 4‑5+ years of experience. Experience with commercial sector audits is highly preferred. Must have excellent communication, self‑confidence, and be self‑motivated and detail‑oriented. CPA preferred; MBA or Master’s degree a plus. Basic proficiency in spreadsheets and database applications required; experience with financial/accounting software is a plus.

Salary Information Starting base pay range: $69,000 – $92,000 annually. This range is base pay only and does not include other components such as discretionary spot bonuses. Compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
