Pay Range: $40-$53.43/hr.

Work Mode: Hybrid 2 days per week in office

Work Hours: 7:00am 4:00pm

Work Days: Monday Friday

Job Responsibilities 1.1. Owner of assigned projects from project initiation to project closure

Main point of contact for all internal and stakeholders regarding assigned projects

Responsible and accountable for all 8 Gates (in alignment with DSU 9A-25) of a project life cycle (IPSEC)

Clarifying and determining project Product and deliverables including (but not limited to):

Feasible project timeline

Engineering Study/EAR Applicability

Number/Type of Work Orders Required

Developing feasible project timeline

Reviewing/Approving customer submittal documents

Monitoring project performance and project schedules

Ensuring designs are received according to project schedule

Removing roadblocks and risks to project schedule

Proactively notifying stakeholders of forecasted workloads

Ensuring customer obligations/requirements remain on track per project schedules

Mitigating conflicts and driving projects forward

Tracking financial performance of all assigned projects and programs

Providing updated cost performance forecasts to project controls as part of the larger New Service Connection portfolio

Forecasting project spend on an annual, and project life cycle basis

Justifying project over spend/under spend events and documenting when they occur

Providing year over year forecasts and reports as needed

For actual cost work orders reconcile work order with both Client finance as well as customer

Understand and apply Client policies, processes, and procedures applicable to assigned project types including regulations, standards, and other potential risks to Client

Develop and implement, with limited management oversight, solutions to complex and dynamic project issues creating win-win scenarios for both Client and our customers

Coordinate and schedule

Site Meets (pre-construction, pre-trench, global, joint meets, kick-off, etc)

Inspections in conjunction with Client inspectors

Construction via D-Ops and/or C-Ops scheduling

Ad-Hoc meetings to facilitate project progress and completion

Track and Report

Project Statuses

Project Health (i.e. at-risk, on-track, early, etc)

Customer updates

Forecasts for projects with delivery to internal and external stakeholders

Completion Dates

Mentor, train, and develop department staff

Communication the project manager is expected to provide timely communication to stakeholders both proactively when project status changes, or upon request from a customer. Typical response time should be within 24 hrs.

Job Qualifications

Min High School Diploma or equivalent

B.S. in Business/STEM or related Field preferred, advanced degree also considered

Min. combined 7 years with at least 5 years project management experience AND 2 years electrical utility service planning

Min 2 yrs Electrical Service Planning/Design Experience

Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), including a min of 2yrs data manipulation and visualization utilizing formulas, PowerBI, and other analytical tools

Demonstrated experience analyzing and translating technical data/plans to non-technical audiences

Additional Notes:

Utilities required. Customer facing, will be responsible for managing between 1200 projects simultaneously and will depend on project complexity. Personal cell phone will be used and able to be reimbursed. Travel to customer sites as needed and can be expensed when traveling to a location other than the office location (not home office to work office).
