We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team based in the Firm's Halifax, NS office.
Position Details Type of Position: Full‑time, Permanent Close Date: January 30, 2026
Role Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver timely financial and non‑financial reporting, conduct in‑depth analyses, and support strategic projects and decision‑making. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing monthly financial statements and completing month‑end reporting packages, analyzing monthly and quarterly financial data with corresponding reconciliations to budget.
Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly non‑financial performance reports for senior management; performing detailed monthly analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
Reconciling bank accounts each month, preparing weekly cash reports and providing related insights.
Creating journal entries as needed and developing ad‑hoc financial and operational reports to support internal stakeholders across the Firm.
Assisting in preparation for the Firm's annual audit, providing supporting documentation and performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline.
CPA designation or recent completion of the CFE.
Minimum of three to five years of experience in an accounting environment; experience in a legal or professional services setting is an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis tools.
Strong business acumen, understanding of organizational economics and financial drivers.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable adopting new technology.
