Senior Analyst, Asset Management
Location:
Plano, TX Salary:
$75 per hour, DOE
Overview A leading organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Management Analyst to support fixed‑asset accounting operations. This role focuses on maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, performing asset lifecycle activities, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, works independently, and brings strong analytical precision.
What You'll Do
Manage fixed‑asset accounting processes, policies, and procedures
Maintain and update the fixed‑asset register with accuracy
Support quarterly and annual asset confirmation activities
Record and monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals
Perform depreciation calculations and asset valuations
Review and analyze fixed‑asset financial statements and reports
Prepare detailed management reports and variance explanations
Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to capital assets
Partner with cross‑functional teams on capital planning
Coordinate tagging and tracking of assets with IT and operations teams
Support internal and external audit requests
Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in asset records
Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Maintain documentation for policies and procedures
Administer leased asset records and lease accounting activities
Job Requirements Qualifications / What you bring (Must Haves):
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of professional experience in accounting
Hands‑on experience with fixed assets and asset lifecycle management
Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems
Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, proactive, and highly organized self‑starter
Strong time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities independently
Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
Understanding of the automobile industry
