Job Title:
CRE Closing Coordinator (Contract)
Location:
Los Angeles, CA
Compensation:
$30-$38 per hour
Val Group has partnered with an organization in Los Angeles, CA, seeking an experienced CRE Closing Coordinator. This contract opportunity is for an undefined period, requiring 4 days in-office and 1 day work from home. The role focuses on coordinating due diligence, organizing transaction documentation, and supporting activities throughout underwriting, closing, and post‑closing phases for commercial real estate deals.
Requirements
Prior exposure to commercial real estate processes, including documentation review and closing coordination.
Ability to assist in tracking key deadlines, maintaining transaction checklists, and monitoring required submissions.
Skilled in organizing data rooms, identifying missing diligence items, and managing system access.
Comfortable participating in calls, providing updates, and supporting senior teammates.
Ability to operate efficiently in a deadline‑focused environment with shifting priorities.
Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; comfort with CRM or document management systems helpful.
At least 2 years of relevant commercial real estate experience.
Undergraduate degree required.
Knowledge of systems such as Salesforce or Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities
Support transaction teams by tracking deliverables, reviewing documents, and coordinating across departments.
Assist with managing due diligence tools such as working group lists, submission logs, and expense records.
Maintain digital files, organize submitted materials, and identify outstanding information.
Help maintain internal databases, update relevant fields, and manage associated contacts.
Participate in kick‑off, progress, and transition calls; lead calls when necessary.
Contribute to closing steps including collecting final documentation and supporting settlement preparation.
Support IT with document platform updates, testing new tools that enhance workflows, and troubleshooting access issues.
Assist with reporting templates, procedural documentation, quality control efforts, and departmental projects.
Use accounting systems to process invoices, review vendor information, and compile general ledger materials.
Support as needed.
