As the
Local Leasing & Accounting Coordinator at Broward Mall , you will support local leasing activity and oversee accounting and lease administration functions for the property. You will partner closely with the General Manager, Local Leasing Manager, and Property Accountant to support financial performance, leasing operations, and the efficient day-to-day management of the shopping center. You will thrive in this role if you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance financial responsibilities with lease administration in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

To succeed, you should have:
College degree or two years of relevant experience in accounting, leasing, or administrative support.
Experience in retail or commercial real estate is a plus
Strong Excel skills required; MRI experience preferred
Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail
Strong communication and organizational skills
Your responsibilities as the Local Leasing & Accounting Coordinator will include:
Manage the Accounts Payable process, including routing invoices for approval, entering approved invoices into the system, and maintaining vendor files to ensure proper audit trails.
Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including monitoring cash receipts, billing tenant recurring charges and adjustments, and performing tenant ledger reconciliations.
Maintain tenant sales reporting by managing collection and data entry of sales information.
Support temporary tenant lease accounting, including document review, MRI entry, receivables tracking, and security deposit management.
Oversee cash management procedures, including petty cash audits, credit card usage, and gift card processes; provide training as needed.
Maintain and update MRI system data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting.
Prepare and distribute year‑end 1099s to contractors and consultants.
Support the Property Accountant with year‑end reconciliations and audits.
Assist with payroll reporting, including allocations to project entities and funding verification.
Assist the Controller with special projects as assigned.
Participate in additional duties as required to support the successful operation of the shopping center.
Leasing & Tenant Coordination
Assist with the leasing of temporary tenants, including Retail Merchandising Units (RMUs), kiosks, inline stores, and vending, encompassing lead generation, follow‑up, presentations, and lease execution support.
Assist with the preparation of lease agreements, renewals, and amendments.
Support space turnover and tenant coordination activities.
Coordinate window displays and visual vignettes.
Assist local leasing tenants with visual merchandising to maximize sales performance.
Support monthly and quarterly leasing budget forecasts.
Provide administrative and operational support to the Local Leasing Manager.
