Position Summary
The Relationship Banker combines teller duties with relationship-building responsibilities, offering personalized customer service, conducting financial transactions, and cross‑selling bank products. The role includes opening new accounts, maintaining account information, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Relationship Building
Greet and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner. Identify customer needs and offer solutions through the bank’s products and services. Maintain strong relationships through personalized service and proactive outreach. Resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience. Sales & Referrals
Promote and cross‑sell bank products. Provide tailored financial advice and refer customers to other lines of business as appropriate. Account Management
Open and manage a variety of accounts. Assist with account maintenance tasks such as updating information, processing stop payments, and handling transfers. Support online banking services and digital banking tools. Loan & Credit Processing
Refer clients with credit needs to the appropriate banker or line of business. Transactions & Cash Handling
Process transactions with high accuracy. Balance cash drawer and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly at shift end. Compliance & Risk Management
Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with privacy regulations. Monitor for potential fraud or suspicious activity and address issues following bank procedures. Operational Support
Assist with branch operations and administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and organizing records. Support branch leadership with daily operations, opening/closing procedures, and security compliance. Education & Experience
Knowledge Of
Strong sales and customer service skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic math and accounting functions. Ability To
Accurately count money. Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures. Stand for extended periods of time. Lift 50 pounds. Education And Training
High School diploma required. Previous banking and/or sales experience required. Required to maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) if lending; obtain active registration upon hire. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Salary: $16‑$19 per hour, based on duties, qualifications, and local market trends.
