is recruiting for our client, a well-known CPA firm, for a Tax Manager in New York, NY (10017). Our client is seeking an experienced

Corporate Tax Manager

to join their Manhattan office. This role offers opportunities to engage in corporate tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting, including tax provision preparation and audit support. The Tax Manager will play a key role in managing client engagements, collaborating with team members and specialists, and supporting the firm's tax practice across multiple clients.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote

Key Responsibilities:

Manage client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects within budget.

Supervise, mentor, and train associates, senior associates, and interns; provide performance feedback and assume in-charge responsibilities as needed.

Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing and prospective clients.

Review tax returns prepared by staff and provide guidance on accuracy and tax-saving strategies.

Conduct primary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.

Research and consult on complex tax matters; leverage tax software to prepare and process returns.

Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities.

Develop strong relationships with clients, gathering information and providing tax services effectively.

Understand client operations, processes, and business objectives and apply this knowledge to engagements.

Participate in professional development and ongoing training sessions.

Maintain the highest professional standards and confidentiality.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting required; CPA or JD/active law license required.

47 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience, preferably in public accounting.

Strong expertise in corporate income tax and ASC 740 accounting for income taxes.

Proficiency in US GAAP, corporate tax laws, and regulations.

Broad knowledge of statutory income tax compliance and consulting, including state/local taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing.

Experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred.

Excellent analytical, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and client service orientation.

Ability to travel as needed.
