Job Summary FLAG Solutions is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team and support a metals manufacturing client in San Bernardino CA. This role will ensure a safe and compliant work environment for FLAG staff by maintaining effective communication between FLAG and the client’s team conducting safety audits and promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities Orientation and Training Conduct first-day safety orientation for new hires ensuring they understand workplace safety protocols and company policies.
Facility Safety Audits Perform regular walkthroughs of the facility to identify and address safety hazards. Monitor FLAG employees to ensure adherence to proper safety practices.
Safety Communication Serve as a liaison between FLAG and the client’s safety team. Facilitate clear and concise communication regarding safety updates, concerns, and compliance requirements.
Safety Meetings Organize and participate in safety meetings with FLAG staff and the client’s team. Share feedback and action plans to address any identified issues.
Compliance and Reporting Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and employee training. Ensure FLAG staff comply with OSHA standards and site‑specific safety policies.
Emergency Preparedness Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures. Provide support during any incidents or drills.
Qualifications Experience Previous experience in safety coordination, manufacturing or related field preferred.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with teams and handle conflict resolution.
Keen attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Certifications (Preferred)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Working Conditions Based in San Bernardino CA. Primarily a 1st shift role with flexibility required for occasional schedule changes. Regularly walking and standing while conducting facility inspections. Exposure to manufacturing environments with noise machinery and varying temperatures.
