Overview We are expanding once again; we are looking for several diesel truck mechanics with different types of experience. If you are looking to advance your career or want an opportunity to apply your skills with Mack and Volvo Trucks we have a home for you!

The right individual will be energetic, focused with several years of hands‑on experience.

Responsibilities As a diesel mechanic you will be responsible for the maintenance duties and repairs of trucks and trailers such as:

Preventive Maintenance

Cranking and Charging

Repairing and testing Air Brakes

Replacing Tires and wheels

Repairing Liftgates and other parts of the truck and trailer using welding tools

Using Bendix Air and ABS Systems

Using a Fleet Maintenance Software to track repair orders and parts inventory

Using Service Bay Diagnostic Tools

Conducting vehicle alignment

Work Schedules All positions are full‑time and require working on holidays and rotational weekends.

1pm - 9pm, Mon - Fri

9pm - 5am, Mon - Fri

Benefits Hourly Rate: $35–$40 per hour based on experience and having a CDL; $8,000 sign‑on bonus, Health Insurance, Retirement Plan, PTO (Vacation, Sick, Holiday Pay), Life Insurance.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience in diesel truck mechanics (Volvo, Mack a plus!)

Valid CDL Class A or B and a driving record with no more than two violations/accidents combined in the last three years.

Experience with welding tools and/or welding certification a plus.

Working knowledge of hand tools.

Experience with trailer refrigeration preferred.

Vocational or technical diesel mechanic certification preferred.

Additional Skills Welding – Thorough knowledge of arc, metal inert gas (MIG), and gas welding procedures, tools, and equipment used in structural repair of light and heavy equipment and a variety of different tanks to include knowledge of various types of steel such as cast components and aluminum. Thorough knowledge of air carbon arc cutting and the use of oxy‑acetylene torches.

Safety – Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safety regulations related to the operation of various welding operations.

Vehicle and Equipment Repair – Utilizes standard welding and shop tools, equipment, and measuring instruments to perform complex welding repair, fabrication and modification work.

Communication – Ability to communicate ideas and verbally and in writing effectively so others will understand, to include interpreting and understanding drawings and technical manuals and preparation of detailed repair operations records. Ability to listen and understand information and ideas being presented verbally and in writing.

Mathematics – Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
