Our client in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to provide field inspection and quality oversight for civil and infrastructure projects. This role ensures compliance with specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while collaborating with project teams.
Responsibilities
Inspect water/wastewater pipelines, pavements, bridges, retaining walls, and other structures.
Perform pressure testing (hydrostatic/pneumatic) and verify structural integrity.
Oversee concrete work, including rebar placement and alignment.
Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare reports.
Enforce site safety protocols and resolve construction issues with project teams.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of construction inspection experience.
Knowledge of water/wastewater systems, structural concrete, pavement construction, soil compaction, and Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC).
Ability to lift 40 lbs, work in extreme weather, and travel locally.
Valid driver’s license required.
