Job Description Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Content Designer for the World of Warcraft team. As the Lead Designer on the Live Game team you are responsible for leading design decisions and overseeing their execution from concept to completion. As a collaborator you understand the importance of communication and feedback. The ideal candidate has proven experience in game design, a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic and a passion for playing and analyzing games.
Location / Work Arrangement This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is in Irvine CA.
Responsibilities
Driving vision of new features in collaboration with partners
Managing mentoring evaluating and providing feedback to a team of designers
Partnering with Production to scope, plan and organize multiple simultaneous projects
Coordinating with Product Management and Analytics to apply a data-informed approach to crafting epic player experiences
Upholding and shaping high quality standards for art design and game performance
Promoting contributing to and participating in our culture of inclusion
Minimum Requirements
8 years of game design experience or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent experience.
3 years managing a team
Ability to design and implement content from concept to completion.
Ability to maintain and communicate a clear vision from pitch to ship
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
