Job Responsibilities
Transcribe, edit, and interpret dictation by physicians and clinicians to ensure timely release of medical information to the EMR
Assist managers and directors in mentoring and training new team members
Utilize in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, medications, anatomy, and physiology for accurate documentation
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
Qualifications
Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required 1 year of experience in Medical Transcription/Editing
Preferred certification: CHDS (Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist)
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, medications, anatomy, and physiology
Ability to work full-time with varying hours, including occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field
Experience in pathology documentation
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
