QUALIFICATIONS
Work in the office 16-20 hours per week. Tuesdays and Thursdays in office.
Self-initiating, always seeking ways to relieve pastors of administrative burdens
Trustworthy to follow through with delegated responsibilities in a timely way
Maintain integrity and confidentiality
Personable and respectful on the phone and in correspondence
Enjoys creating and/or improving systems to make them more efficient
Computer savvy in basic clerical programs and able to learn new skills. (Word, Excel, Photoshop, MailChimp, Google Drive, Planning Center)
Not a member of LSCC, but a committed follower of Jesus and an active member of another like‑minded church
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the ministry and functions related to general office work and oversight of Administration and other ministries.
Support and serve alongside pastors of Living Stones Community Church.
REGULAR DUTIES
General office work: order supplies, church mailings, filing, errands, etc.
Receptionist duties: Receive and make calls, check voicemails and send to appropriate staff member, answer emails, greet visitors, disperse mail to staff members.
Bookkeeping duties: Review invoices, write checks, make online payments, oversee annual budgets, credit card reconciliation.
Track weekly offering using online database.
Enforce and update safeguards put in place for protection of financial integrity of the church.
Maintain data and reports from church database (Membership status, member contact information, donor profiles, etc.)
Responsible for writing, designing and editing of church content and correspondence. (Weekly bulletin, event posters, weekly E-news, etc.)
Assist with coordination of church events and holidays.
Manage social media presence for church.
Manage church and facility calendar and scheduling.
Make updates to church website as needed.
Handle benevolence requests as they come in.
Run background checks for nursery/student workers.
Coordinate Church Events & Calendar:
Activities (church dinners, picnics, Fresh Vision, etc.)
Ministry Events (baptisms, child dedications, classes, graduation)
Special Services (Easter, Christmas, etc.)
Bookkeeping/Accounting Assistance:
Enter individual contribution amounts in Planning Center.
Manage distribution of annual giving statements.
Communicate with accounting firm in maintaining accounts.
Write checks and pay bills.
Email monthly reports to finance team.
