About the Role We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Chemical Management Specialist to oversee chemical inventory operations in a manufacturing environment. This position serves as the primary liaison between supply chain operations and production teams, ensuring seamless material availability while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities Inventory & Materials Management
Monitor and replenish chemical stock levels in production areas and storage facilities.
Conduct regular inventory assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform quality verification of incoming products against specifications.
Respond to material incidents and coordinate proper cleanup procedures using detection equipment.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain safe handling practices for hazardous materials.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (respirator, face shield, gloves, etc.).
Support adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as primary contact for production floor personnel regarding material needs.
Escalate quality concerns, shortages, or issues to management promptly.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
1‑2 years inventory management or material handling experience in manufacturing.
1‑2 years working with chemical materials (compatibility knowledge preferred).
40‑hour Hazwoper certification.
Just‑in‑Time (JIT) or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) experience in regulated industries.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
