Responsibilities:
Work with engineers to transform initial ideas and sketches into comprehensive design models and drawings.
Utilize CAD software to develop fabrication packages that support mechanical component sourcing.
Enhance component designs by optimizing for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
Ensure all drawing updates are documented accurately through the company’s record‑keeping system.
Requirements:
This is a fully on‑site position – no remote or hybrid available.
Ideal candidate is currently located in the greater Orlando, FL area.
Active security clearance and military service is a plus.
Exceptional organizational abilities.
Solid foundation in analytical thinking and mathematics.
Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques and expertise in optimizing mechanical designs for efficient manufacturability.
Capable of working with ITAR-controlled data without requiring a license.
Preferred: Familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards.
Experience using Mentor Graphics for printed circuit board (PCB) design.
