We are seeking a highly motivated

Field Mechanic

to add to our team to service work sites in the Denver Metro area. The successful candidate will provide service to our fleet of Caterpillar equipment. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment

Order parts as needed

Prioritize repairs based on job needs

Follow supervisor directions

Travel to work sites in the greater Denver Metro area

Work independently or with fellow field mechanics

Complete DOT paperwork in a timely manner

Conduct daily Pre-trip inspection of mechanic’s truck

Perform regular upkeep of mechanic’s truck

Account for daily parts invoices

Create and complete work orders correctly and timely

Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity

Continue learning and strengthening skills

Basic understanding of safe work practices

Full set of tools for large equipment repair

Familiar with OEM standards

Education and Experience

CDL class B or higher

Current CDL medical examiners certificate

High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

3+ years of CAT mechanic background

Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and ET (training available)

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Work is performed most frequently outdoors in weather conditions that vary from freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions.

Work may be performed in confined spaces.

Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur.

The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

Lifting and carrying 10 up to 60 pounds frequently is required.

Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Reaching and lifting overhead is frequent.

Standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and reaching a majority of the time.

Work may include manual labor up to and including hand digging.

Some Saturday work is required. Sundays are rarely needed.

Job Type Full-time, nonexempt

Salary $30-$45/hour; based on experience
