This full‑time, year‑round position is based out of our new, state‑of‑the‑art shop in Spicer, MN and comes with a strong benefits package including:

This position with the Duininck Construction team offers the opportunity to travel to job sites, perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, and ensure our fleet remains safe, efficient, and ready to support successful project delivery.

The Role:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational issues on construction equipment and components in the field.

Perform repairs, replacements, calibrations, adjustments, and rebuilds on equipment as needed.

Test repaired equipment to verify proper and safe operation.

Inspect, change, and add fluids and lubricants; replace worn parts and complete preventive maintenance tasks.

Perform welding and fabrication work when required.

Read and interpret equipment manuals, service bulletins, diagnostic information, and technical guidance.

Assist with ordering parts, materials, and supplies for scheduled repairs and maintenance.

Document work performed, time spent, and materials used; complete timecards and maintain service logs.

Operate a variety of tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment to complete repairs.

Support and follow company maintenance procedures including TPR and B2W Maintain systems.

Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace both in the shop and at field sites.

Work Environment:

Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well as in shop environments.

Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project needs.

Travel throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas.

What we Look For:

Two‑year technical degree or 3+ years of related experience (preferred).

Previous experience performing mechanical diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment; asphalt plant experience preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Class A CDL preferred.

Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up when unsafe behavior or conditions arise.

Understanding of PPE requirements and OSHA/MSHA safety practices.

Ability to read and interpret service information, schematics, and technical manuals.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.

Strong communication skills and commitment to completing quality work.
