Responsibilities
Assist Preconstruction Manager with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Review drawings, specs, and addenda for scope clarity
Perform material and labor takeoffs
Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid clarifications to identify scope gaps, assumptions, exclusions, and risk items within contractor bids
Solicit and track subcontractor and vendor quotes
Compare bids and assist with leveling
Maintain organized estimate files and bid logs
Support value engineering and scope review efforts
Prepare scope summaries and assist in creating handoff documentation to the operations team upon project award
Input data into spreadsheets
Coordinate with PMs, APMs and preconstruction team as needed
Requirements
1–3 years of construction estimating experience
Experience with commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organization
Proficient in Excel
Familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus
Basic understanding of subcontractor scopes and CSI divisions
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred (Not Required)
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience working for a General Contractor
