Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain traceability between work orders, parts, and process batch loads.
Ensure that all documentation, including work orders and cure charts, are properly completed.
Visually inspect parts for defects, referencing the customer specifications as required.
Verify that the out life and shelf life of the prepreg has not been exceeded during layup.
Measure physical characteristics of the part, including thickness, to detect nonconformities.
Accurately use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and scale rulers, and any other instruments needed to perform the inspection.
Marginal Duties
Complete all necessary paperwork.
Specification testing per customer and certification requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
Be actively engaged in the department’s 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.
Professional Competencies
Self-Confidence in explaining and confirming inspection results.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written with coworkers.
Strong attention to details especially with data entry, inspections, and inspection reports.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet schedule and/or supervisor direction.
Work Qualifications
Formal education: No specific educational requirements.
Experience: No specific experience required.
Computer Skills: Must be able to use common office software systems.
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
