We have an opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join our growing Federal Sales Engineering Team focused on expanding our presence within the U.S. Federal Government. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a team that has a strong foundation supporting Infoblox solutions across the U.S. Government. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales Engineering - Federal, you will build on that momentum - deepening customer engagement, expanding solution adoption, and helping Federal Organizations modernize with confidence.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
Build compelling business cases and highlight technical differentiation in sales opportunities by educating customers and partners on Infoblox solutions
Develop pre-sales engineering content—presentations, demos, and webinars for customer and partner audiences
Design solution architectures and diagrams that clearly convey how Infoblox solutions integrate with other technologies
Train partner technical sales teams on Infoblox technologies and how to identify and position opportunities
Collaborate closely with your primary account manager and support the broader team in your areas of expertise
Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing accounts to expand Infoblox adoption
Be Prepared — What You Bring
5+ years in a technical pre-sales or customer-facing architecture role
Deep understanding of Federal network environments, procurement cycles, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CJIS, NIST, FedRAMP/GovRAMP)
Technical expertise across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, security, data platforms, and emerging technologies
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working with or within Federal, state/local government agencies, or educational institutions
Strong collaboration, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Willingness to travel within the territory as needed
DNS/DHCP/IPAM experience
CCSP, CISSP, CASP+, CySA+ CEH technical certifications are a plus
Bachelor's Degree
Be Successful — Your Path First 90 Days: Immerse yourself in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.
Six Months:
Have a foundational knowledge of our entire product/solution portfolio
Demonstrate fluency with either on-prem or SaaS-based Infoblox solutions
Identify 1-2 specialization areas
Capable of handling primary SA customer-facing tasks with only occasional help from others
One Year:
Demonstrate fluency with all Infoblox solutions
Capable of handling advanced SA customer-facing tasks with only occasional help from others
Able to conduct POC’s & customer demos with little to no supervision
Go-to person for specialization area for assigned reg
