The Maintenance Specialist position at Kennedy Industries requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to establish good working relationships with all shop personnel in a collaborative setting. Under close guidance, the candidate will acquire and execute various skilled responsibilities, including shop organization, coating, painting, and building maintenance. It is imperative that the candidate demonstrates reliability, maintains a positive attitude, exhibits a willingness to acquire new skills, and is inclined toward a service-oriented approach while also possessing outstanding organizational abilities.
Furthermore, the candidate should be competent in operating heavy machinery and adhere to all safety protocols.
Essential Functions
Interacting with customers / vendors upon equipment delivery
Managing building upkeep, snow removal, and cleaning responsibilities
Prioritizing safety and ensuring a clean work environment
Acquiring knowledge of operating various machines and understanding their capabilities
Conducting precise product inspections such as inventory, shop supplies and truck supplies
Assisting fellow employees as required in the shop or field
Performing quality assessments on products
Conducting minor maintenance on tools and building
Inspecting and cleaning machinery
Operating overhead cranes and Hi-Lo’s
Checking in and shipping out UPS, FedEx and freight trucks
Handling pick-up and delivery tasks
