What We Offer
Perform nutritional education and nutrition assessments on patients.
Consult and educate patients/clients in one-on-one and group settings on risk factor reduction related to nutrition management.
Communicate via phone, face-to-face, or video settings.
Provide coaching for behavior changes to improve health status, reduce health risk, and improve quality of life.
Optimize nutritional status through medical nutrition therapy, including individualized care plans, provider-ordered recommendations, and implementation of nutrition therapy, education, and counseling for disease and nutrition risk management.
Evaluate outcomes of interventions and schedule follow-up with patients as needed, documenting all patient interactions.
Collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary teams in the management of health and nutrition factors.
What We're Looking For
Education: 4-year Bachelors degree required; Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition required; Graduate degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Registered Dietitian status by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state required.
Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; Knowledge, ability, and skills to support patient education and patient engagement in self-care management to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific, or behavior needs among the patients being served.
Additional Skills (preferred): Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to relay information to diverse audiences for one-on-one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs, and other invited presentations/appearances.
