PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in West Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

General Description Uses lived experiences to engage with incarcerated individuals who are experiencing substance use disorder, substance use/opioid-related overdose survivors, and those with health-related issues due to substance use and link them with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) during their incarceration. Uses time spent in the mobile MAT unit/county jails to assist in initiating MAT services by providing evaluation, screening and assessment services and to engage patients in on-going treatment and recovery support. Assists in post-incarceration handoff to traditional outpatient MAT for continued treatment and develops a transition plan to support care coordination and referrals with other community providers with recovery support services (such as peer recovery coaching, employment assistance, childcare, counseling, overdose prevention classes, and housing support) to increase retainment in treatment, support long-term recovery, and reduce recidivism. Is responsible for timely, professional documentation and data collection according to Operation PAR standards.

Education And Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred CRPS Certification is required or must obtain full or provisional certification within 90 days of employment Experience operating mobile medical unit or RV preferred
Licenses, Certifications And Registrations
CPR and First Aid certification to be completed within six months of employment CRPS Certification is required or must obtain full or provisional certification within 90 days of employment
Essential Physical/Technical Skills
Ability to write accurately and legibly Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time Ability to bend, stoop and reach Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds Good hearing and vision Ability to drive mobile unit (Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.) Environmental Conditions
Treatment program / mobile treatment facility / county jail environment Exposure to possible verbal abuse and similar behavior Possible exposure to patients with communicable diseases Willingness to work in multiple counties as a part of a mobile MAT unit
Special Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license. Must pass a level II background check ( https://info.flclearinghouse.com ) and drug screen. Veterans encouraged to apply.
