Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Salary:

FY25 Salary $24.46 - $26.75 per hour

General Summary The purpose of this position is to perform daily cleaning of buildings. This is routine manual labor. Employees in the classification are under immediate supervision and perform various duties requiring moderate strength.

Typical Duties Typical duties include but are not restricted – cleaning rooms, washing windows, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, snow removal, and operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment.

Essential Job Functions

The work required is performed indoors and outdoors.

Routine Work:

This is routine manual labor associated with daily cleaning of buildings. Employees in this classification are under immediate supervision and perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength. Typical duties include dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture and operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment.

Non Routine Work:

This is manual labor associated with the recurring but non routine cleaning and maintenance of buildings. Employees will be under immediate supervision and perform various tasks requiring moderate physical strength. This work is normally of the project type nature.

Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.

Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, and equipment.

Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.

Ability to operate mechanical building equipment.

Ability to follow simple oral and written instruction in the conduct of the job.

Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, fellow workers, students, and people in general within school property.

Ability to recognize and work within the administrative authority of the individual building principals.

Valid Driver's License.

All work areas and schedules are subject to change as per approval of the Director of Facilities.
