Job Summary We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer V to lead the design and engineering of HVAC and plumbing systems for global facilities in water treatment, power generation, and substations. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of international codes, HVAC/plumbing standards, Revit 3D, and a passion for sustainable design, energy efficiency, and complex system integration.
Job Description
The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions for the company's global projects.
The Mechanical Engineer level 5 position is responsible for the engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.
Design and Construction Activities
Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.
Facility Types - Water Treatment, Power Generation buildings, and Substations.
Systems - HVAC and Plumbing.
Type of Areas - Wastewater treatment buildings, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, and Pump Areas.
Studies
Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations
Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance.
Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies
Skills Required
Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
Self‑Motivated, Problem Solving, Written Communications, Driven for Results, Quality Focused, Strong Listening Skills. Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and the following applicable design guides and standards related to HVAC, and plumbing system design.
Including a basic knowledge of the following:
International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes
ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards
ASPE design handbooks
SMACNA Standards
NFPA standards
Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing
Technical Submittal reviewing process Bid reviewing process
Microsoft Office Suite
Bluebeam Revu
Revit 3D Modeling.
Experience with large‑scale water‑cooled chillers is preferred.
Education / Training / Certifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
