Position Title
Relationship Banker Overview
Financial Center First CU invites a dedicated Relationship Banker to enhance member financial wellness by fostering deep member relationships, processing consumer loan requests, opening new accounts, and cross‑selling Credit Union and CUSO products. Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify opportunities to grow and deepen member relationships through inbound/outbound calls, pre‑set appointments, branch traffic, disciplined sales process, follow‑up, and sourcing member referrals. Process consumer loan requests: provide loan product information, accurately complete loan application, disburse loans, cross‑sell additional products, and meet time and accuracy requirements. Provide general financial literacy principles regarding savings plans and realistic personal budgets. Recommend or refer all Credit Union and CUSO products and services that benefit the member’s financial life. Process new account requests: accurately complete account application, assess member financial lifestyle and needs, and offer additional Credit Union and CUSO products. Educate members on electronic and automated service options. Adhere to all applicable policies, including check cashing, identification and security. Participate in community events supported by the Credit Union. Qualifications & Skills
Education and Experience: two years successful sales and service experience at a financial institution or equivalent; high school diploma or GED. Sales Skills: strong sales skills and achieving assigned sales goals; comfortable working in a high volume/traffic environment. Product Knowledge: understand and explain products and services, loan policy and procedures within 90 days; achieve proficiency on relevant Credit Union systems within 90 days. Technical Proficiency: proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe); accurate and attentive to details. Professionalism: be professional and courteous, neat in appearance, patient in dealing with members and other employees; basic knowledge of fundamental arithmetic. Computer & System Use: basic knowledge of and skills in using a computer, calculator and other standard office equipment; able to work in a Windows based environment on a PC. Language: bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Physical & Mental Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs; capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Operate routine office equipment, routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6‑8 hours per day. Work extended hours whenever required or requested by management; capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Work effectively as part of a team; perform job functions independently and with limited supervision. Read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions; speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Perform basic financial calculations with accuracy; able to deal calmly and professionally with diverse personalities at various levels within and outside of the organization. Travel
Travel to other local Credit Union branches or community events may be required.
