As part of HDR’s Field Services team, you’ll be on the front lines of infrastructure development, making sure that what’s designed is built to the highest standards. From highways and bridges to water treatment plants, transit systems, and power facilities, your work ensures that our clients’ visions become reality, with precision, integrity, and excellence. Our construction professionals – Construction Managers, Inspectors, Resident Engineers, and field specialists – bring deep technical knowledge, hands‑on experience, and a commitment to quality that sets industry benchmarks. In the role of Constructability Specialist, we'll count on you to:
Perform constructability and biddability reviews
Perform field reviews for mainline and expansion projects
Perform detailed traffic control analyses of each proposed phase
Review construction schedules to assist managers with recommendations for resolution of issues
Some initial utility coordination prior to construction
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
Florida DOT or Florida Turnpike experience
Roadway construction experience highly desired
Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
