Position Overview
The Content Marketing Specialist plans, writes, and manages marketing content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion across key channels. This role combines content strategy, hands‑on copywriting, and day‑to‑day project management to deliver high‑quality campaigns on time and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop content calendars and campaign‑level content plans that support marketing objectives, launches, and key initiatives across channels (web, email, social, blog, paid, print).
Write clear, compelling, and on‑brand copy for press releases, landing pages, emails, ads, social posts, video scripts, and other marketing assets, tailoring tone and messaging to audience and channel.
Own end‑to‑end content project management: gather requirements, create briefs, define timelines, coordinate stakeholders, track progress, and ensure on‑time delivery of assets.
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and subject matter experts to turn ideas and insights into well‑structured content and campaigns.
Optimize content for SEO, readability, and conversion, including keyword integration, clear calls to action, and thoughtful structuring of headlines and body copy.
Maintain and enforce content and brand guidelines to ensure consistent voice, style, and quality across all materials.
Monitor performance of content (traffic, engagement, leads, conversions) and use insights to refine content topics, formats, and messaging over time.
Maintain an organized library of content assets, tracking versions, approvals, and usage across channels.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2–4 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or related roles, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong writing across multiple formats and channels.
Proven ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including SEO basics, email marketing, and social media content best practices.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to break down complex topics into clear, engaging content.
Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination in fast‑paced environments.
Comfortable working with content and project tools (e.g., editorial calendars, task management platforms, basic analytics dashboards).
Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and a proactive approach to improving processes and content quality.
Salary and Benefits Salary: $60-80k annually based on experience, plus incentives.
