Work Schedule Full time, Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

A Day in the Life

Provides behavioral services compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Conducts functional behavioral assessments; supplies written recommendations to classroom staff.

Develops, reviews, and revises behavior support plans under supervision of a certified psychologist or licensed social worker. Trains staff on implementation.

Delivers staff training on managing difficult behaviors and crisis intervention.

Serves on the building Support Team, offering consultation on data collection, plan implementation, and progress monitoring.

Makes confidential records, respects students, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psychology, or a related field, with documentation of training in assessment techniques and behavior support planning or BCBA certification and a master’s in behavioral analysis; or a NYS license in mental health counseling.

Five years of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing and monitoring behavior intervention plans, and supervising others in their implementation.

Current New York State Driver’s License.

Salary: $50,284—$54,017 per year.
