Responsible for establishing the Companion Life brand within the assigned sales territory and driving sales of Employee Benefit portfolio. Goals include generating new premium and maintaining persistency of the enforced block of business.
Location This is a full‑time position (40 hours/week) Monday‑Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, working remotely. The preferred region is Mid‑West.
What You Will Do
Communicate effectively with partner plans, consultants and client accounts, managing mutual goals, objectives and expectations. Assess and implement resources for effective account management and train partner plan account staff.
Use independent judgment to direct day‑to‑day staff activities, assign work, and participate in candidate selection. Address performance issues and act as needed with disciplinary action.
Monitor the marketplace for sales trends, competition, BlueCross BlueShield initiatives, and product design, and share data with senior management and partners.
Establish and maintain positive partner plan/client account relationships, including handling policies and issue resolution. Monitor performance metrics and distribute reports to account management.
Coordinate ongoing partner plan and client account meetings, including Executive Oversight, Steering Committee, quarterly and semi‑annual oversight sessions.
To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent: 4 years of related experience or associate’s degree plus 2 years).
8 years of sales experience, including 2 years of lead or supervisory experience, or military experience at E4 or above.
Current South Carolina Department of Insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
