Account Manager – Europe
Location:
Home-based, Germany (with regular travel across Europe)

is partnering with a fast-growing, innovation‑led biomaterials company to appoint an
Account Manager – Europe . This role combines
strategic account management
with
new business development
and will play a key role in expanding the company’s footprint across European markets.
This is an opportunity to join a business at a
commercial scaling stage , where sustainable materials are moving from early adoption to broader market demand.
The Role The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of European customers while also identifying and developing new commercial opportunities. The role is customer‑facing, commercially focused, and requires close collaboration with technical, product, and global sales teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage and grow
key customer accounts
across Europe, acting as the primary commercial contact
Develop
new business opportunities
with prospective customers, partners, and distributors
Drive revenue growth through
long‑term supply agreements, development programs, and strategic partnerships
Work closely with technical and applications teams to support
customer trials, product qualification, and commercialization
Understand customer needs and translate them into
commercial and technical requirements
internally
Support pricing, contract negotiations, and forecasting activities
Represent the company at
industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows
Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking in CRM systems
Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercially driven professional who is comfortable operating in a
technical B2B environment
and balancing account management with business development.
Ideal background includes:
Experience in
account management and/or business development
within materials, chemicals, polymers, packaging, or related industrial sectors
Proven ability to manage
complex, consultative sales cycles
Experience working with
European customers and cross‑border markets
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Comfortable working remotely with international stakeholders
Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
