Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Account Manager
Required to join a packaging machinery manufacturer and a leader within the material handling industry, with a global presence. We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager with knowledge of material handling and industrial automation solutions.
Base Pay $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Location Remote, but must be based in the North East (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine). Typical industrial route from Philadelphia to Boston.
Role Summary You must have a strong mechanical or electrical background, and strong technical knowledge, to speak to customers on a deeper level and understand their requirements and solution needs.
Responsibilities
Selling a range of Packaging and Material Handling equipment, such as feeding systems (centrifugal and prefeeders), unscrambling and sorting systems, assembly systems, placement systems and other parts/accessories.
Headhunter and not afraid of knocking on doors and being a keen Business Development Manager.
Ability to manage accounts and continuously upsell.
Able to follow, plan and execute sales strategies for the region.
Customer visits – out on the road traveling with overnight stays.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Packaging Systems/Equipment and Material Handling equipment, such as feeding systems (centrifugal and prefeeders), unscrambling and sorting systems, assembly systems, placement systems and other parts/accessories.
Strong mechanical background (preferred).
Hands‑on machinist background who knows and talks technical machine shop – considered.
Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Sales Executive, or internal sales looking to step up into an external sales role.
Must be based in the North East (see Location).
Full Driving License.
