Plumbing Designer
to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and master planners. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education, and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award‑winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic, and social impact.
Base Pay Range $64,000.00 / yr - $94,000.00 / yr
What You Will Do
Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA
Assist Engineers, Architects, Project Designers, and Project Managers in executing building design assignments
Prepare engineering calculations and documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
Select equipment, systems, and products related to projects
Review and process construction administration documents
Attend construction meetings and field visits to further understand detailing and coordination
What We Will Do
Provide mentorship from Managing Directors, Design Directors and other in‑house disciplines on all projects
Provide career growth opportunities including licensure incentives, professional development grants, and our professional development process
In‑house management and leadership training opportunities
Education opportunities including LPA+U and LPA Tech Talks
Plumbing Designer Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required
0‑5 years of experience in design of plumbing systems
Exposure to AutoCAD and Revit is preferred
Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment
Curious and open‑minded to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills
