Brief Description
Vendor Relations Associate
will gain and maintain a working knowledge of and play an integral role in supporting various aspects of the Vendor Relations department (and the business divisions thereof). He/she will be expected to gain industry knowledge, maintain vendor networking/relationships, assist in company data analytics/forecasting, and contractual legalities and compliance as needed.
Essential Functions
Provide support for all divisions including AvKARE label, AvPAK label, and R&S Northeast wholesale.
Analyze product pricing and performance as necessary.
Assist in gathering vendor pipelines and product lists for preparation as it pertains to product forecasting.
Serve as support in vendor contracting (e.g. organizing agreements in contract management CRM, tracking contract expirations, etc.).
Gather data for product shelf stock adjustments in coordination with the Finance department.
Assist in departmental budgeting maintenance by gathering financials monthly and reporting quarterly to ensure budget adherence.
Compile vendor presentations as may be needed for trade shows/meetings in support of each division.
Actively participate in events, conferences, and occasional travel (if necessary)
Become familiar with department SOPs, ensuring maintenance and accuracy, remaining up to date with all policies, procedures, and processes.
Ensure that response to the various teams and departments is swift, exhibiting decisive and relevant solutions.
Communicate with senior management with tact and insight and execute all other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the senior management team.
Education & Experience Minimum High School diploma or equivalent GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Discipline preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment and allows for the option to work remotely at the discretion of the supervisor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position with general hours of work during day shift hours, unless otherwise approved by supervisor.
TRAVEL This position may require occasional travel to vendor sites and trade shows 10%.
