NewsNation seeks a Senior Segment Producer to join the show team for Weekend Morning in America. The senior segment producer will take the lead in producing the lead blocks of the show and will play a large role in the editorial focus of the show. Candidates should have strong editorial judgement and be comfortable working in a control room setting. The position is based in New York and will require working an overnight schedule on the weekends. Duties & Responsibilities

Produce news-of-day/political segments Pitch story ideas and make guest booking suggestions Copy edit scripts and content / Write news headlines Serve as a senior leader in the control room, when needed Help implement training and best practices for show team Provide ongoing mentoring and support to members of the show team Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by network management Requirements & Skills

Five to ten more years of editorial experience in a fast-paced environment for a national news program (broadcast, cable or digital) Line producing experience a plus Must be self-directing, self-motivating and able to work will with a diverse group of people Must be detail-oriented Must have strong organizational skills Must have excellent writing and copy-editing skills Must be able to handle high pressure and high intensity situations with poise and maturity Must be able to work in the New York office on assigned shifts, including overnights on weekends and holidays Salary Range

$100,000-110,00 (per experience) Benefits
