Summary

Position located at the Fort Leonard Wood Family Child Care Center (FCC). Eligibility & Work Hours

Must work at least 15 hours per week. US citizen, US national, or foreign national who has lived in the US or its territory for at least 3 continuous years preceding the start of federal affiliation. All applications must meet the standard federal qualifications, including background investigation and E-Verify. Childcare Fee Discount

First child: 100% discount (all CYS employees). Second and subsequent children: 25% discount (all CYS employees). Duties

Plan and implement a comprehensive training and professional development program for children and youth, following all applicable regulations and standards. Design, administer, and conduct foundation, annual, and ongoing training requirements based on course outlines, in both classroom and on-the-job settings. Design and execute annual CYS program plans, including training goals, curriculum framework, and individualized staff development. Observe staff in appropriate program settings to assess competency and provide timely feedback. Manage program budget, analyze variances, and prepare justifications for program resource requests. Requirements

Direct deposit and Social Security Card required. Meet qualification, eligibility, and background investigation requirements for federal employment. One‑year probationary period may be required. Successful completion of the Army Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Maintain current health assessment, including immunizations as required by DoD policy. Travel to on‑post and off‑post locations required. Qualifications

Education

(must be directly related to the position): Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 semester hours in child development, child psychology, childhood education, or a closely related field. For early childhood or elementary education positions, a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education is required. Experience: At least 12 months of experience working in child and youth programs. At least one year of experience at or above the next lower grade level for this position. Experience in planning and conducting staff training. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, analyze problems, identify solutions, and communicate effectively. Application & Closing Date
